Wuv, twooo wuv...

I was recently berated for not having posted wedding pictures from my brother Kyle's wedding last month. I intend now to repent of my sins, and post pictures of the whole lovely week. :)

Melissa and I headed down to Utah a few days before my parents and Clayton because I had to...I mean, "got to" take the GRE. Once that wonderful event was over we headed to my Grandma's house in Price, Utah. We stayed for a few days and ate, played games, watched videos and just visited, and on Sunday afternoon mom, dad, and Clayton came to join us. Monday afternoon there was a freak BLIZZARD which made us glad we had decided not to leave until Tuesday, and which gave us the opportunity to make more brownies and watch family videos. We about died laughing as we watched Clayton's 4th birthday. After each gift he opened he would shout, "Huh?!?!?" as if he just couldn't believe how great it was that he got a brand new flashlight. What a cute little kid :) I'll have to figure out how to post videos like that on here.

Tuesday morning, bright and early we headed out for Arizona. My grandparents followed the next day. We stopped at a "rest stop" in southern Utah, and the leaves were just beautiful (mom took some pics), as was the rest of the scenery. The best, though, was the walls of the toilet stalls. They must have been designed for shorter tourists, because Melissa and I could easily see over them when we were standing up. So of course we had some fun with that.

Around 2 o'clock in the afternoon we saw a turn off for the Grand Canyon. Mom was driving, and because she had never been but always wanted to, she turned off and we made a great detour to go see the world famous hole in the ground. Needless to say, it was beautiful. I think the pictures will do better justice than I can, so I'll just apologize for the way we look and get on with the photos. (We got up reeeeally early, mind you, and weren't exactly prepared for a glamor photo shoot...)

That night we got to my friend Laurel's house around 11:30pm, and she was gracious enough to wait up for us. And to let us use her bathrooms, guest room, and office as a place to stay for the week so we didn't have to pay for a hotel. Thanks Laurel! (And did I mention the amazing brownies she made us the next day?)

The next day we spent hanging out with Kyle, just kickin' it at his and Casey's house. It's a really cute 3-bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home that they are fixing up. It looks great already, and they are sooo excited about it!

This is us chillin' with Kyle and Casey in their living room.

And having a "spa" moment outside in the beautiful Arizona weather!

Grandma and Grandpa showed up the next day, and we spent it hanging out again, and then getting stuff together for the reception the next night. We also made boutineers (sp?) and had home made french fries and burgers on the grill. I couldn't believe how laid back we all were, especially since the wedding was the next day!

Friday, October 29, 2010---WEDDING DAY!!!

It was a beautiful (but hot) day in Mesa, but it was so amazing! The sealing was beautiful and all of us were bawling like babies! Kyle's chin started quivering as he looked at Casey over the altar, which of course got me started. They are so in love, it just makes me happy! :) There was such a neat spirit about them, and the whole ceremony. It was beautiful.

These are of the happy couple leaving the Mesa temple.

Uncle Hal came up for the wedding and luncheon, as well as the reception that night. In total, there were 8 people from my family, and the rest were from Casey's, but it was a fun group, and they were both totally supported. Here are some of the pics from the temple.

And the reception that night. Aren't they adorable?

The next day Kyle and Casey were in Scottsdale on their honeymoon, so the rest of us went to breakfast with Uncle Hal for his birthday. Actually, just my family went. Grandma and Grandpa were on the road by 5am, so we didn't see them until that night when we got to Price, UT again. We went home a different route that wasn't as pretty, but it got dark around 5pm so we didn't miss much ;)

It was a beautiful week, was so fun to spend with family, and we are so excited to welcome Casey to the Wieben Clan!!! :)
